This beautiful apartment for 10 guests is one of two that have been carefully created in this old farm building, just minutes from the slopes in the peaceful Gotty area of La Clusaz. Both of the apartments are completely independent.
You can walk to the Piste de l'Envers, just 350m away, and the ski bus stops 100m away.
In the summer, there are fabulous walks from your doorstep, and the centre of La Clusaz is just a walk or cycle away (1.5 km). There you'll find a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops. The village boasts a modern watersports centre providing activities for all ages and a wellbeing area. The nearby Lake Annecy is another great place for swimming, paddleboarding, and sailing.
There is parking for several cars at the chalet. Please note that there is no garden and no terrace for this property.
Groups of up to 24 people can book this chalet with the neighbouring apartment, Chalet Frontflip, which sleeps 10, and the Chalet Sideflip, which sleeps four.
IMPORTANT: The Backflip rental is in a chalet consisting of two apartments, in a residential area. To preserve the comfort of all and respect the neighbourhood, parties are not allowed on the property. This property is best suited for families. Groups of adults are NOT accepted at the property. About the property ...
The accommodation at Chalet Backflip is set over two floors, with four bedrooms and five bath/shower rooms.
On the ground floor you'll find the double garage, a ski room where you can leave your outdoor gear and a useful laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. There's also a WC, a shower room and a sauna where you can relax at the end of an active day in the mountains.
Stairs lead up to the second floor, where you'll find a beautiful open plan living area opens on to a balcony. A cosy L-shaped sofa and chairs are arranged around the television, the perfect place to get together after dinner to plan your next exciting day in the mountains.
A central fireplace and original beams separate this area from the dining area, where there is room for everyone to sit down and eat together. The well-equipped kitchen is off to one side, and has everything you need to cater for a large group.
The four bedrooms lead off from the living area. At the front of the chalet are two double rooms, each with a shower room (one with a WC) and access to the balcony. There's another smaller double room with a shower room and a children's room for four, with two single beds and a set of bunk beds. There's also a separate shower room with a WC.
Please be aware that the apartment offers no view over the mountains, no garden and no decked terrace.

La Clusaz is an authentic mountain village which blends tradition with up-to-date facilities. Its traditional chalets and lively streets offer a vibrant setting with Savoyard charm. Nestled in the heart of the Aravis massif, it is only 30 min from Annecy and close to Le Grand-Bornand and Manigod. Its warm atmosphere and easy accessibility make it a popular destination year-round.
In winter, the resort provides easy access to the Aravis ski area, offering 210km of pistes that combine long descents and technical sectors across La Clusaz, Le Grand-Bornand, Manigod, and Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. The region also offers a variety of winter activities, including cross-country skiing, dog sledding, sledging, snow biking, ice diving and ice skating.
During the rest of the year, numerous hiking and biking trails lead to superb views over the Aravis, such as the Plateau des Glières. Chalet Backflip is a four-bedroom, five bathroom apartment for up to 10 guests.
The location, opposite the chapel in the Gotty area of La Clusaz, is perfect for skiers in the winter, as it's just 350m from the nearest slope and the ski bus stops 100m away. Chalet Backflip is just as convenient in the summer, when you can hike or bike into the Aravis mountains, or stroll into La Clusaz to visit the market, pick up some shopping or enjoy a meal in one of the many restaurants.
The majority of the accommodation is on the second floor of the building, with two flights of stairs, so it may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility.
We love the ground floor ski room, laundry room and sauna - after a day on the slopes, you can leave your outdoor gear in the ski room, jump in the shower and head for the sauna to relax before dinner.
The beautiful living area of Chalet Backflip invites you to get together for a chat on the squishy sofa or enjoy a meal at the huge dining table. The three double bedrooms each have their own stylish shower room, and younger children will love their bunk room, which sleeps four - they get their own separate shower room.
There's plenty of parking at the chalet, as well as a double garage, but the proximity to the bus stop and the village means you won't have to use your car if you'd prefer not to.
